Your community app handles approvals. We build the face recognition at the gate.

Fortuna’s gated community access control system runs on one thing: AI face recognition. Most communities already run a community management app for visitor approvals and notices — but the app lives on a phone; the gate doesn’t. We build the AI-powered face recognition terminals — the VF2000 and VF1000 — that handle fast, touchless entry and exit for residents, daily help, and delivery staff, built to work with the community management app you already use.

Already use a community app? Add Fortuna terminals to it — no software switch. Setting up a new society? We supply the VF2000 and VF1000 and integrate with the app you choose.

Built in India since 199620,000+ organisations run on Fortuna hardware. BIS-certified, field-tested from -10°C to 50°C.

Hardware trusted across India’s most demanding sites

Why gated communities need access control hardware — not just a visitor app

The app fixed the paperwork. The gate is still the weak link.

A community management app cleaned up visitor approvals, notices, and complaints. But walk down to the gate and the reality is different: a guard with a register, a stack of RFID cards that get lost and shared, and an imported reader that stopped working in the first monsoon.

The gap shows up in ways every committee recognises. Tailgating behind a resident’s car. Domestic staff signing a paper muster that no one checks. A delivery rider wandering to the wrong tower. A “who entered Block C on the 14th” question that the app can’t answer because the door has no record — only the guard’s memory.

The app approves entry. Something physical still has to enforce it at the gate and log it back. That something is hardware — and cheap, unbranded hardware is exactly where most communities lose the security they thought they’d bought.

Fortuna builds that layer. AI face recognition terminals that verify the right person, open the right gate, and push every event back to your app’s record — so the committee gets a real audit trail, not a register.

0

Cards or tags to lose

Every resident, maid, and driver enters by face. Nothing to lose, share, or clone.

100%

Of entries logged automatically

Timestamp, identity, and gate — pushed to your app for the committee’s audit trail.

IP65

Built for an open Indian gate

The outdoor VF2000 is IP65, full metal body, field-tested from -10°C to 50°C — dust, sun, monsoon.

How Fortuna's access control system works with your community management app

We don’t replace your community app. We make it work at the gate. Fortuna is a hardware manufacturer — we are not asking you to switch your community management software, retrain residents, or migrate visitor data. We supply the terminals that plug into the app you already run.

Integrated with the apps you already use

The VF2000 and VF1000 are integrated with the leading gated community visitor management apps. When your app approves a resident, a visitor, a staff member, or an amenity booking, the terminal recognises the person and opens the gate, boom barrier, or lift through its built-in relays.

Two terminals, every gate covered

The VF2000 for outdoor main gates and the VF1000 for indoor lobbies and lifts — the same AI face engine, one vendor. No mixing import brands and hoping they talk to each other.

One access control system for residents, visitors, staff, deliveries, vehicles & amenities

Every credential is a face. The VF2000 and VF1000 cover every kind of entry a community has — from the main gate to the clubhouse door.

Entry at the gate

Resident access — touchless face recognition entry

Residents walk up and the gate opens. No card to carry, lose, or lend. The VF2000 and VF1000 recognise an enrolled resident in under 0.3 seconds with over 99.5% accuracy, with liveness detection that rejects a photo on a phone. Anti-passback stops one resident's face opening the gate for a tailgating vehicle behind them.

Hardware: VF2000 at the outdoor main gate · VF1000 at tower lobbies and lifts

Visitor entry — face approved through your app

Your app captures the visitor's photo at approval and pushes a time-bound face profile to the gate terminal. The visitor enters by face, inside the approved window only — and the profile expires automatically when the visit ends. The same visitor management logic Fortuna runs for corporate and hospital sites, fitted to a residential gate.

Hardware: VF2000 at the gate

Delivery & service entry — face passes for the day

Regular delivery and service staff are enrolled by face. One-off riders are approved in your app, which pushes a single-day face profile to the gate terminal that expires the same evening. Fast entry at peak hours without handing a stranger a permanent credential.

Hardware: VF2000 at the gate

Vehicle access — the driver's face opens the boom barrier

No RFID tag on the windscreen. The resident driver's face is recognised at the lane terminal, which signals your existing boom barrier to open through the terminal's relay. Fortuna supplies the terminal; it triggers the barrier you already have or are sourcing.

Hardware: VF2000 (IP65, outdoor-rated) at the vehicle lane

Inside the community

Maid & domestic-help attendance — face, logged automatically

This is where paper registers fail and most systems stop. Maids, cooks, drivers, and housekeeping staff mark in and out by face at the gate. Every entry and exit is logged automatically and pushed to your app — so a resident can see exactly when their help arrived and left, and the society has a record no one can fudge. A real maid attendance system, enforced by face instead of a notebook.

Hardware: VF2000 or VF1000 at the gate

Amenity access — face entry for whoever booked the slot

Booked the basketball court for 7pm? The TT room, the clubhouse, the party hall? When a resident books an amenity in your community app, the slot is tied to their face — and only they and their approved guests can enter during that window. The space stays locked to everyone else. No guard checking a booking register, no double-booked courts, no arguments at the door.

Hardware: VF1000 at indoor amenity doors · VF2000 for open-air courts

For the committee

Security guards & committee — control and audit

Guards manage exceptions instead of copying a register. The committee gets a single, searchable record: who entered, which gate, at what time — exportable for any date range. Multi-gate communities roll every VF2000 and VF1000 into one record through your community app.

Hardware: VF2000 + VF1000 terminals reporting to your app's dashboard

Built in-house, supported in India

The AI face engine, the terminal, and the platform are all Fortuna — designed, developed, and manufactured in India since 1996. BIS, RoHS, FCC, and CE certified. 500+ channel partners across India handle installation and on-site service, because hardware at a gate fails physically and you need someone who can reach it.

How gated community access control works — step by step

Four steps, no manual logging — from the approval on a phone to the face at the gate.

1

Your app approves the person

A resident approves a visitor, or staff and residents are enrolled — all in the community management app you already use.

2

The face profile reaches the gate

Your app pushes the resident, staff, or approved-visitor face profile to the VF2000 or VF1000 at the relevant gate.

3

The terminal verifies the face and opens

Recognition in under 0.3 seconds — only the right person, only the right gate, only in the valid window. At the vehicle lane, the same face match triggers the boom barrier.

4

The event logs back automatically

Every entry and exit — identity, gate, timestamp — is recorded and pushed to your app's dashboard for the committee's audit trail.

Access control for every kind of residential community

The two terminals are the same everywhere. The mix — how many VF2000 outdoors, how many VF1000 indoors — adapts to your community’s shape.

Apartment complexes & high-rises

VF1000 at tower lobbies and lifts, VF2000 at the main gate and basement barrier. An apartment access control system that scales from one tower to twenty.

Villa & plotted townships

Multiple VF2000 gates across a large footprint, rolling into one shared record in your community app.

Housing societies & co-operatives

A VF2000 at the main gate, with maid and daily-help face attendance from day one.

Gated villa enclaves & farmhouses

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about gated community access control

What is a gated community access control system?
A gated community access control system is the hardware and software that controls and records who enters a residential society — residents, visitors, domestic staff, delivery personnel, and vehicles. Fortuna supplies the AI face recognition terminals — the VF2000 and VF1000 — that enforce entry at the gate and log every event back to your community management app.
For most Indian apartments and societies, AI face recognition covers the whole gate: residents, maids and daily help, approved visitors, and even vehicle drivers all enter by face — no cards, no tags. Fortuna runs this on two terminals: the VF2000 outdoors and the VF1000 indoors, both syncing to your existing community app. How many of each you need depends on your gates and towers.
Most likely yes. Fortuna is already integrated with the leading gated community visitor management apps, so in most cases we plug the VF2000 and VF1000 into the app your residents already use — no software switch. Tell us which app you run and we’ll confirm.
Yes. Most of our community deployments are exactly this — the software is in place and the committee wants reliable, branded face recognition at the gates. We supply and integrate the VF2000 and VF1000 terminals without touching your app.
The resident driver’s face is recognised at the lane terminal — an outdoor IP65 VF2000 — which signals your boom barrier to open via its relay. No windscreen tag to issue, clone, or replace. The terminal integrates with your existing boom barrier or one you source separately.
Yes. A single VF2000 recognises enrolled residents and staff, plus the time-bound visitor and delivery face profiles your app pushes for the day. One terminal, one queue, every entry by face.
Yes. When a resident books an amenity in your community app, the booking is tied to their face. A VF1000 (indoor) or VF2000 (open-air) at the amenity door grants entry only to the resident who booked the slot and their approved guests, only during the booked window. The space stays locked to everyone else — no guard checking a register.
The VF2000 and VF1000 store face profiles and logs locally and keep recognising faces offline. When connectivity returns, logs sync back automatically — no entries lost. If a face can’t be read, residents and staff can fall back to an ID/PIN on the same terminal. Battery-backup options are available for gates without reliable power.
No. The VF2000 and VF1000 run liveness detection on every scan — analysing depth and micro-movement to reject a photo on a phone, a video replay, or a printed mask. A face can’t be lent, lost, or shared the way a card or tag can.
Yes. Every VF2000 and VF1000 across the community rolls into one record in your app — so a six-tower society with four gates still gives the committee a single searchable log.
Cost depends on the number of gates and towers, the terminals at each point, and your existing barrier and network. Fortuna does not charge per-resident fees. Tell us your layout for a quote — response within 24 hours.
The VF2000 and VF1000 are certified BIS (IS 13252), RoHS, FCC, and CE. Fortuna’s 500+ channel partners across India handle installation and on-site service.
